That's why Volvo incorporated the EPA '02 engine into an entirely new truck -- to meet your needs for lower operating costs.  This Volvo engine meets the stricter emissions requirements but doesn't weigh significantly more than previous engines.  Its simple design means it's less costly and easier to maintain than other EPA '02 engines. 

Together, Volvo and Cummins have developed an integrated engine offering, so you have the option of the added horsepower of the 15 liter Cummins ISX engine, as well.
